Booking Guidelines

Things are looking a little different now since COVID19 but we are committed to providing a safe and relaxed environment so please take time to read our booking guidelines prior to your appointment.

Please call us to rearrange your appointment if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of COVID19 - there is no cancellation penalty for this.

Before your appointment

A link to complete your consultation form online will be sent to you a few days before your appointment please complete this prior to your appointment otherwise we may have to rearrange your appointment.

 If you are scheduled for a Manicure or Pedicure, please ensure you have removed any polish residue prior to you appointment and bring flip flops for pedicures.

For Gellux Manicures and Pedicures, please let reception know when booking if you require a gel removal.

If you are scheduled for a Laser Hair Removal appointment you must shave the area to be treated 2-12 hours prior to your treatment. Treatments will have to be re-arranged if unshaven on arrival.

 If you are scheduled for waxing, please ensure hair is at least 1/2Inch long. For intimate waxing, please ensure you have trimmed where appropriate before your appointment if necessary.

 On arrival

Please arrive at the agreed time of your appointment, alone (we do not have the facilities for children to accompany their parent/guardian).The government has lifted the measures put in place under Plan B. This means, there is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering.  Face coverings are optional for clients and we ask them to make their own decision and be respectful of others decisions.  If you can please bring a bottle of water with you.

General Booking Guidelines

Contra-indications

You will be asked to carry out a full consultation prior to your visit to the salon. However, please inform us if you have any specific/recent medical conditions or allergies, or if you are planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. We reserve the right to refuse treatment if we feel your medical condition deems you unsuitable, but will endeavour to provide you with an alternative. Please avoid alcohol before all treatments and specifically after body treatments.

Children

To ensure the safety of children and the enjoyment of all clients; we ask that parents or guardians make other arrangements for children while they are receiving services. We do not have the facilities for children to accompany their parent/guardian. Children under the age of 12 cannot be treated without permission of the salon director.

Timekeeping

Please be sure to have completed your consultation form online before your appointment. Please arrive promptly at your appointment time to avoid the disappointment of reduced treatment time.

Cancellation Policy & Deposits

We have recently updated our cancellation policy due to many last minute cancellations which have a massive effect on the business as we are running at a lower capacity to follow current rules and regulations from the government. Please note that we require 24 hours notice for cancellations. It is the policy of Elementary Skin & Body to charge 50% for any cancellations in under 24 hours or missed appointments. All online bookings take a 50% deposit at time of booking which is not returned in the event of cancellation under 24 hours or missed appointments.

 For appointments lasting 2 hours or longer a 50% deposit may apply.

Disabled Access

We are located in a ground floor location and there is disabled access, however please contact us to discuss your requirements as we can also offer a home visit.
